Self Catering Cottage in Taliaris, 4 miles from Llandeilo

The kitchen is fully equipped with electric cooker, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven, electric kettle and toaster. Willow pattern china, Kings stainless steal cutlery and plain clear glass provides for 8 settings. Pinewood cupboards provide space for food and a pine dresser houses a multitude of cooking essentials. A mat covers the slate floor which is continuous with the hallway. An antique counter divides the kitchen from the dining table which seats up to 8 people.

Sun streams into the cottage through small square windows during the afternoon and evening and an automatic gas-fired Rayburn warms the kitchen and dining areas on wintry evenings. (This also heats the water.)

A wood burning stove is set in a stone-built corner fireplace provides warmth and ambiance to the L-shaped living area. Original arched windows overlook the gardens and terrace and french doors open onto the terrace when needed. Tastefully furnished with some antiques the living room is comfortable and cosy at any time of the year. Consideration has been given to the decor with pretty curtains, Turkish rugs, leather seating and fresh white stone walls.

A basket of firewood for the log-burner is provided on arrival and subsequent supplies available at cost. An evening meal can be ordered in advance and be delivered for your first evening. Gas-fired central heating warms the whole cottage.
