There are four resident peacocks in the hamlet which make an interesting sight striding through the gardens!

The nearest sandy beach, Maenporth, can be reached by following the public footpath, signed about 100 yards up the hill (left) from the cottage. It is approximately a 15 minute pleasant walk on a sunken tree and fern lined path. There are also other good beaches and walks within easy reach.

Mawnan Smith, barely a mile away, offers a a thatched inn, post office/grocer, hardware store, electrician, hairdresser and small restaurant. There is a regular bus service to the busy port/resort of Falmouth which is about 3.5 miles away by road. For sailing enthusiasts the Helford River is nearby and boats can be hired at Helford Passage. Budock Vean Golf Course (9 holes) is about 2 miles away.

Outside: There is a very small patio garden at the front of the property and, at the back, there is a small raised terrace/patio accessed via steep stone steps (not suitable for children under 5).
