Leckan Beg cottage is located on the Lecale Cottages premises, a group of 10 traditional Irish Cottages, in the foothills of the Mourne Mountains, Northern Ireland. The surrounding area is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and there is plenty to see and do.
The cottage is a cozy and warm 1 bedroom, with a bathroom, and a combined living/kitchen area. During the winter, relax in front of the open fire, or during the summer months, enjoy your breakfast outside on the patio, with views down the valley and across the Mourne Mountains.
On the farm, there is a tennis court and riverside walk, whilst the local area has endless places to walk, cycle, swim, horse-ride, and many other activities. The local town of newry is very popular for shopping. Local restaurants provide high-quality local food, and there is a large choice of small cafes to grab some lunch at.
Rostrevor is easily accessed, only an hours drive from Belfast, or 90 minutes from Dublin. Both have major airports and ferry termininals. Most places in Northern Ireland can be reached within a maximum of a 3 hour drive, so why not take a trip to the famed Giant's Causeway.
