This stunning and stylish 17c Lakeland cottage in the beautiful Duddon Valley combines traditional comfort and charm with every modern convenience.
Oak beams, an inglenook fireplace with log-burning stove and piles of books and games are matched by a large, fully fitted kitchen/breakfast room. In the spacious sitting room you can curl up on big sofas by the fire and watch Sky television, play DVDs or just relax and listen to your favourite CDs.
Upstairs are four light & airy bedrooms: two double, one with en-suite, and two twins with gorgeous brass bedsteads. Theres also a luxury family bathroom with shower. Downstairs offers a further single bedroom with adjoining shower and loo.
Outside you can sit in the walled garden and listen to the river rushing by. This quiet and private cottage is at the heart of one of the most beautiful and least touristy parts of the Lake District, with a post office and stores within walking distance, with great food pubs a couple of miles away.
Lake District favourites like Windermere, Grasmere and Coniston are an easy drive away. Vast, beautiful beaches at Silecroft and St Bees are just 30 mins away. Freshly-made beds and towels ready when you arrive, cot and high chair available.

The kitchen is modern, very well-equipped and spacious. It is open plan with the stylish light and airy dining room, which has large french windows onto the garden and a CD player. The kitchen has everything a keen cook needs, including a steamer, excellent knives and good quality bakeware, and there's a large fridge/freezer, microwave, washer-dryer and dishwasher - everything you'd have at home. The large, stylish living room has oak beams and a stunning inglenook fireplace with a welcoming log-burning stove. There are big comfy sofas with throws, and a great supply of books and games. The room is double aspect, very warm and welcoming, spacious, yet cosy, with plenty of room for 9 people. There's a good-sized TV with Sky TV and a DVD player too.
