Skiddaw designed by us and custom built for us to provide our guests with what we feel is the ideal combination of space and luxury.
This three bedroom lodge has a double master en-suite, two spacious twin rooms and a house bathroom. A light and airy open plan kitchen/lounge/dinner lead via patio doors onto a large balcony with views to the south towards the Lakeland fells - sit with a glass of wine and watch the sunset in this quiet rural setting.
Next door to us is "the royal oak" pub/restaurant, we have lots of local eateries nearby competing with each other - ask our advice - quality local produce and great value for money are assured.
Just 9 miles to the north of us is the city of Carlisle with a vast choice of shopping and nightlife - 15 minutes in a taxi. North of the city is the world famous Gretna Green and the Scottish borders, Hadrian’s wall country runs west from here. To the south of us is the northern lake district national park, the towns of Penrith and Keswick are in easy reach - an ideal base for touring.
We are surrounded by quiet country lanes, ideal for walking or biking, we have abundant wildlife locally - the unspoilt Solway coast is a must for any bird watcher.
At the end of the day come back an relax in our on site leisure suite, 8 person hot tub, infra red sauna, entertainment system and mood lighting - it's all included in your hire fee as is use of the swimming pool gym etc. At Armathwaite hall hotel (12 miles).
