Warnell has three bedrooms - two doubles and a twin, also two bathrooms all off a central corridor - it also has a sofa bed in the lounge area to offer greater sleeping options (please note max occupancy 7 persons). This combined with the open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area makes this spacious lodge ideal for larger groups of guests.
The lounge/dining area looks south towards the Lakeland fells and has a door onto a balcony with patio furniture - relax and watch the sunset, a laundry with washer dryer is off this balcony. There is a private garden area with picnic table, barbeques are available on request.
Next door to us is "the royal oak" pub/restaurant with a choice of many other eateries close by - ask our advice - these venues are constantly trying to better each other - great value and quality local produce assured.
Carlisle with its vast choice of shopping and nightlife is 9 miles from us - 15 minutes in a taxi. Just north of the city is the world famous Gretna green and the Scottish borders, to the west runs Hadrian’s wall country and unspoilt Northumbria.
Just to the south of us is the Lake District national park, Penrith and Keswick are in easy reach of us as is the north west Cumbrian coast.
On site we have a separate lodge as our leisure suite with 8 person hot tub, infra red sauna, entertainment system and mood lighting - use of this is complimentary as is the use of the swimming pool, gym etc. Armathwaite hall hotel.
