Heffalumps is a mid terrace cottage and might not be your first choice for a holiday but it is clean, although the eyesight is fading a bit so you might find the odd cobweb, well equipped and comfortable and, in keeping with the name, there are also a lot of elephants!
There is a pub within walking distance, with the lovely name of 'The Spanker' with another at the top of the hill for those who are really fit!
There is ample storage in the bedrooms and the double bedroom has a portable TV.
The second bedroom has a loft bed and separate divan bed underneath and both beds have enough headroom for adults. Room for a travel cot. The bathroom has good shower over bath.
Parking is on the street but not always right outside the cottage but usually close by.
All cleaning materials provided. Games and puzzles provided.
For last minute stays you can pay by credit card via Pay Pal.
One well behaved pet welcome at a cost of £10 per week.
Nether Heage is approx 2 miles from Belper and is a convenient base to explore the Peak District.
Denby Pottery, Crich Tramway Museum and Midland Railway are nearby. Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and Bakewell are about 40 mins. Alton Towers and Birmingham (NEC) and Sheffield Arena are within 1- 1.5 hours. Nottingham and Derby are also within easy reach.

Small seating area outside back door that gets the morning sun so perfect for a leisurely breakfast. The enclosed sunny garden is reached by a fairly long pathway and has table and chairs and a BBQ.
