Historic Tiverton Castle, once home of the powerful medieval Earls of Devon and of a Plantagenet Princess, is now a peaceful, private house with four very comfortable, fully-equipped self-catering holiday apartments, sleeping 2/4. All you need to bring are your clothes and food.
Close to the centre of town, just a short walk to the shops. Easy motoring access to many local attractions and sporting facilities, Exmoor, Dartmoor, Exeter. Beautiful gardens with seasonal fruit and vegetables available from the kitchen garden, free fishing on River Exe, barbecue, croquet, free visits to the Castle which is open two afternoons a week in the summer.
Lower East Court, sleeping 4, is a very spacious apartment on the first floor, up a wide, shallow Jacobean staircase, with two bedrooms (one double, one twin); kitchen/diner; large sitting room; bathroom with bath and overbath shower, WC, bidet, basin; a second WC and basin; separate shower room. Full gas central heating and electricity included in weekly rent.
Nearby public park with swings, slides, etc. for children. Staying in an historic Castle itself will fascinate guests with an interest in English history.
