Beaford House offers peace and tranquillity in a lovely setting with the bonus of an outdoor heated swimming pool (Whitsun-mid September). Beautifully furnished, this English country house is elegantly furnished throughout, with spacious accommodation for up to 23 guests in nine bedrooms including one with a four poster bed.
Perfect for conversation, gatherings and relaxation is the large comfortable drawing room. Featuring a large wood-panelled fireplace, it has one wall of floor-to-ceiling French doors, comfy sofas, occasional chairs and tables.
For the children, a cosy snug is ideal with TV, video and games, and a wood panelled fireplace.
A bookcase-lined hall (filled with books) leads to the extensive dining room where three floor-to-ceiling French doors lead out to the lawns and swimming pool. Elegantly furnished, with a large table, to seat 24, this room too boasts a wood pannelled original fireplace and contains a pool table and seating areas.
The newly fitted kitchen is attractively decorated with granite topped units, a table with seating, a blue, four-oven AGA, plus a 6 burner gas cooker, microwave and all the little extras guests need. Off the kitchen is a scullery housing a commercial dishwasher, sink and original crockery shelving, while to the rear of the kitchen is a second kitchen with freezer, sink and table.
The original washroom houses the washing machine. A corridor with original red quarry tiling leads to the servant’s entrance.
