Situated in a secluded country setting on the edge of Puddletown village, yet within easy reach of all Dorset, The Cottage is a great choice for those who wish to stay a while and explore Hardy country with the freedom of self-catering. Enjoy the small but pretty cottage garden; stroll out of the garden gate, walk over the little River Piddle to the old village centre with its historic church and thatched cottages dating from the sixteenth century.
Puddletown is a pretty, typical Dorset village with an excellent gastro-pub and village shop and post office, within easy reach of Puddletown Forest and other good walking areas. Nearby Dorchester has a 24-hour Tesco.
Just a ten-minute drive from Dorchester, this is an excellent location for easy access to all of Dorset, and beyond. Poole/Bournemouth, Purbeck, the Jurassic Coast (a World Heritage Site), Weymouth and Portland, Bridport, Lyme Regis and Sherborne are all within easy reach.
Upstairs, this period cottage has a main bedroom with a king-sized bed, TV and lovely views of ancient water meadows, a small twin bedroom and a bathroom. Downstairs there is a sitting room with TV, radio/CD/cassette player, a dining room and separate, well-equipped kitchen. It is pleasantly furnished with plenty of light, ceilings of a good height and attractive views.
Although it is a traditional cottage it enjoys the modern comforts of full gas central heating and double-glazing, and has a new bathroom for 2012.
There is carport parking.
