Lilac Cottage is a charming grade 2 listed property. It has been restored and updated over recent years and we regularly use it as our seaside getaway. Whilst it is only a short distance from the town centre, the cottage is situated up a very peaceful no through road.
The main part of the town and Swanage beach are just a 7 minute walk and therefore you can leave the car behind and enjoy the day without having to park in the town. Within a three minute walk of the cottage, there is a local (open all hours) shop selling most provisions including fresh bread.
The bedrooms are all on the first floor and include 2 double rooms each with 4'6" beds, and a bunk bed room. There is also a travel cot which can be accommodated in any of the rooms.
The sunny garden is walled and includes a sun deck and a play shed.
It is a great place for children, with no need to bring much for them as it is probably already here!
Dogs are very welcome with plenty of walks from the door. You can walk through Townsend Nature Reserve and on to the Downs, reaching the cliff path within a mile of the front door.
