Glen Auchie Holiday Cottage is located at Scotland's most southerly point, near the Mull of Galloway. Cottage dates back to 1850's. The cottage was the last thatched cottage in the South Rhins before renovation. Set in half an acre of own ground surrounded with fence and gates, secure for children and pets.
Cottage has 2 bedrooms, one with twin beds and 2nd with double bed. Bathroom with corner shower and bath. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you would need. Luxury sitting room with 3 and 2 piece leather suite. TV and Electric Stove. Sitting room leads to beautiful conservatory which leads out patio doors to the garden. You can enjoy a barbecue or just sit back and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
There are lots to do in this area from walking, cycling, bird watching, fishing, sea fishing and golf. Explore the many beautiful gardens and then enjoy home baking in their tearooms. Visit the Mull of Galloway Lighthouse and then enjoy an excellent meal at the Gaillie Craig, restaurant and coffee house at the Mull with spectacular views over the sea. Gaillie Craig has a turfed roof. This is also a very popular beauty spot for your full wedding.
There lots of good eating places within Drummore, surrounding area, Port Logan, Sandhead and Portpatrick.
Beautiful beaches for exploring and enjoy the lovely fresh air. Pets welcome by prior arrangement.
