Meikle Barfil Farmhouse is situated in beautiful, rural Dumfries and Galloway. The accommodation is a comfortable 3/4 bedroom property which sleeps up to 6 people + a cot.
It offers:
1 double bedroom, 2 twin bedrooms and a small boxroom suitable for a cot. There is a main bathroom on the ground floor and a toilet upstairs. The fully equipped kitchen leads onto a dining room and a separate lounge, which houses a colour television and DVD player.
The farmhouse is centrally heated and has an oil fired stove in the lounge. There is a patio and barbecue area to the front of the house, along with a large garden. All linen is provided but we ask that you provide your own towels. We accept one well behaved pet by arrangement only.
The farmhouse is situated 0.5 miles from the nearest public road and has ample parking facilities. Access to the property is via a private road.
The property's location is halfway between Dumfries and Castle Douglas, offering a contrast between a modern and a traditional town.
The area has lots of activities and attractions for adults and children, including watersports, cycling, mountain biking, fishing, pony trekking, golf, forest walks, historic castles and many more.
There is also a variety of places to eat out, from contemporary restaurants to local pubs.

Our kitchen is spacious, modern and well equipped. It has an electric halogen cooker, a microwave, toastie maker, toaster, kettle and fridge. A further fridge freezer is available in our utility room. There are plenty of dishes, crockery and kitchen utensils for visitors to use. The kitchen leads straight onto our separate dining room which has seating for up to 6 people around a modern dining table. | | |
Our living room is well equipped with a television, DVD player and digi box. It has comfortable, clean sofas for our visitors to relax on, along with additional chairs. It has a hardwood floor and an oil fired stove for visitors to use as they please. The living room offers sensational views across the countryside. | | |
The property has a separate dining room, a back kitchen and a utility room, which houses the additional fridge freezer and washing machine. There is a toilet and wash hand basin upstairs. There is also a fourth bedroom which is a boxroom and suitable for a cot. We also have a chair bed in this room, suitable for a child, in the event of a party of 7 people staying. |
