Drumlanrig Castle and Gardens are just 4 miles away for a highly recommended day out, with the pleasant town of Thornhill 2 miles further on. Local attractions include golf, fishing, cycling and exploring the local Lead Mining Museum. Dumfries is 20 miles away.
