Harlech’s championship golf theatre and world heritage castle are just 11 miles whilst Portmeirion Italianate village and Porthmadog home of the Ffestiniog and West Highland narrow guage railways are about 15 miles. A fantastic range of outdoor activities are available very close to home including many short or medium length walks. Further afield skiing and whitewater rafting are available in the lakes and mountains of the Snowdonia National Park – and a trip up Mount Snowdon itself is a must on foot or by train.
