Barn Croft is beautifully converted from buildings belonging to The Woodhouse, a Grade 2* Listed, partially moated medieval timber-framed house. Barn Croft is completely separate and enjoys its own private garden with furniture and barbecue.
There is much to do - outdoor pursuits from walking the Malvern Hills and other beauty spots, to horse-riding, golf, fishing, grass-boarding and other more energetic activities. There are racecourses at Hereford, Cheltenham and Ludlow.
Visit grand houses like Eastnor Castle or Hampton Court gardens. Malvern's Three Counties Showground is the setting for the RHS Spring and Autumn Garden Shows. Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester offer the Mappa Mundi and Chained Library, the dockside museums in Gloucester and porcelain at Royal Worcester. This area was beloved of Edward Elgar and the Dymock poets and Ledbury was home to the poet Laureate John Masefield.It is now the location of England's best-known Poetry Festival. In August every year, the Three Choirs Festival, the oldest of its kind, is held in one of the three cathedrals.
The local food and drink, from ciders, perry, wines and beers to beef, ice-cream and cheeses can be enjoyed at any time of year- and there's a pub with restaurant within five minutes walk.
If you just want to relax, sitting quietly in the garden can reward you with sights of the heron, kingfisher, a swooping buzzard or a Brown Long-eared bat. Inside, the woodburning stove will lull you quietly to sleep.

The sunny, open-plan kitchen is very well-equipped with two Neff electric ovens, a ceramic hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. There are recipe books with local recipes for you to cook the wonderful local produce, with items such as a garlic press and food mixer already provided. If you'd like a real break, we stock the freezer with award-winning chef-prepared frozen meals which can be pre-ordered or bought whilst here. You can dine in style on china from Royal Worcester, whether home-cooked or pre-prepared, and either way, the cook can still talk to the rest of the group thanks to the open-plan aspect of the room. | | |
Also open-plan, this room is beautiful at any time of year. In summer, the large south-facing windows allow sunshine to stream in from the garden, overlooking the iris-fringed moat. Bring the garden inside by throwing open the doors to the terrace and lay the table for tea. On cooler days, the woodburning stove provides another focus for the room. Draw the curtains and watch a DVD or video (we provide a selection) or play one of the games we leave in the cupboard. | | |
