The town is a mecca for golfers and boasts two high quality championship golf courses (Nairn Dunbar and Nairn West). Both clubs hold 4 day open competitions between the 3rd and the 14th August 2009. These tournaments are a must for all enthusiastic amateur golfers.
Throughout the year various events draw large numbers of visitors to the town. These events include a Book and Arts festival, Nairn International Jazz Festival, Nairn Farmers Show, Nairn Highland Games.
