This large Victorian house was fully refurbished in 2007 and sleeps ten in five generously sized bedrooms (two doubles, a triple, a twin and a single). Additionally there is a double sofabed in one of the living rooms which can be used by arrangement. All of the bedrooms have nice views, either of the coast or of the downs which rise attractively behind the town.
The most famous former resident was the composer Sir Edward Elgar who chose to spend his honeymoon in the house in May 1889.
