An easy 12 mile drive south reaches the market town of Alnwick with its castle renowned as the film location for Hogwarts School and beside it Alnwick Gardens an exciting contemporary space featuring gloriously vivid planting stunning water displays and one of the largest tree houses in the world. A wide variety of day trips from exploring the historic towns of the Scottish borders to shopping at Newcastle’s Metro Centre are also easily accessible.
