“Kinnaird” is a self catering bungalow on a cul-de-sac with 3 bedrooms (1 double, 2 single) and sleeps up to four people. It is set in a large mature lawned garden with herbaceous borders, trees and many unusual plants, bulbs, and shrubs. We have provided garden furniture and parasol along with a barbeque.

The property is suitable for couples and families but we do not accept children under the age of five unless by special prior arrangement. There is room for one vehicle on the gated drive and ample space for others on the large frontage

Selston is a village close to the borders of both Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. There is an excellent supermarket (with cash back facilities), a fish and chip shop and a Chinese takeaway only a few minutes drive away from the bungalow. A very short walk away is the Post Office and Newsagent. Several local pubs are within walking distance or within a few minutes in the car where meals are served and children are made welcome

Kinnaird is approx. a ten minute drive from Junction 27 of the M1 motorway and ½ hour drive from the East Midlands Airport. It is on the 331 Trent bus route Alfreton - Nottingham (Further timetable details are available on request) and is approx 20 mins away from the local train station in Alfreton or 40 min from Nottingham station

There are many attractions within a short drive. Chatsworth House; Newstead Abbey; Hardwick Hall; Mr Straws House; Renishaw Hall; Denby Pottery; Go Ape; Alton Towers.

Kitchen
Step out of the kitchen into the conservatory where you will find a padded cane suite for you to relax and enjoy the garden from indoors!

The dining kitchen has recently been fully refurbished in white and browns with a low level fan oven and separate hob over which is an extractor fan, there is a washing machine, microwave, toaster, fridge, kettle and coffee maker. You will find a white pottery dinner service and a selection of crockery and glassware. There is a set of stainless steel saucepans, deep lidded frying pan, casserole dishes, tea pot, caffetiere and many other items.

In the utility room next to the kitchen is a freezer, tumble dryer, steam iron and ironing board.

Lounge Room
The large lounge has a comfortable 3-piece suite, remote control television with dvd and video. There is a Hifi and CD player. You will find a comprehensive video library suitable for all tastes. There are CD`s and cassettes. We have provided games and puzzles for rainy days along with a large selection of novels and reference books. There is soft lighting for a relaxed atmosphere.

The shower room has recently been refurbished in white, black and chrome to a very high standard and consists of a WC with dual flush and a warm touch seat, a hand basin with illuminated mirror and shaver point, and an electric shower. There is a non slip bath mat and yes even the essential spare loo rolls!

On arrival at Kinnaird you will be met personally by Karen and John Barton (the owners) and there will be a welcome tray of tea, butter, jam and home made cakes to refresh you after your journey.
