The Chestnuts is that rare mix of everything you would want from an old, traditional Cotwold cottage but with all the amenities of a modern five star hotel. The original part of the building dates from the 1850's and many of the original features remain such as beamed ceilings, an old bread oven attached to the open fireplace, flagstone floors and a quaint stone stairway to the master bedroom. Recent sympathetic renovation and extension of the cottage means it now benefits from all the modern day comforts we expect such as underfloor heating, double glazing etc. This is a place that is cosy in the winter and light and airey in the summer. The addition of patio doors in the kitchen, lounge and hallway, really connect the cottage with the large patio area and private garden and from here you have some of the best views in the village.

The Chestnuts kitchen has been furnished and equipped for the gourmet chef. You will find all the china, cutlery and glasses you need, as well as top quality kitchen equipment to cook with and the latest cookery books to inspire you. We have an essential dishwasher to make meal times more pleasurable and a Gaggia espresso coffee maker for that extra treat.
Living Room
The Chestnuts has two lounges one in the original part of the building and one in the new. Both have wide flat screen TV’s, as well as DVD and CD players. The garden lounge has a Bose iPod docking station. We even have wireless internet and telephone services at The Chestnuts free of charge.
