A cosy cottage converted from a traditional Somerset farm building, keeping some of the original beams and stonework.
Surrounded by the beautiful Somerset countryside, Owls Cottage sleeps 4, but we can put an extra bed in the lounge if required. Bed linen and towels are provided, and there is no additional charge for electricity. Lawns next to the cottages allow visitors to relax in the peace and quiet of the Somerset countryside. Garden furniture is provided and barbecue facilities are also available on request. Children are welcome and we provide cots and highchairs on request. Well-behaved pets welcomed for a small additional fee. Ample on-site parking. VisitBritain three-star grading.
Numerous attractions are found in this corner of the West Country, from picturesque villages to outdoor adventure centres, walks and cycle routes. Notable attractions include Bath, Glastonbury, Wells, the Somerset Levels, Longleat Safari Park, Montacute House, Stourhead, and many other classic houses and gardens. Increasingly popular is Clark's Village at Street, the UK's foremost outlet shopping centre. Haynes Motor Museum is five miles away, and just beyond is the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton, home to the prototype Concorde.
Surrounding the cottages is the beautiful Somerset countryside. Enjoy the many footpaths crossing the farm, where you may see foxes or deer, and visit our newly established wetland conservation area.

Old beams and original stonework give the open-plan living area a cosy cottage atmosphere, and this combined with a comfortable lounge suite and electric ‘woodburning stove’ invites you to relax. An additional wall-mounted heater ensures the cottage is warm regardless of the weather. A television is provided, plus a selection of books. Plan the next day’s activities with the huge collection of brochures on local attractions.
The dining table is situated next to the window, where you can watch great-spotted woodpeckers feeding on the nut feeders opposite the cottage.
We can provide a fold-up bed in the lounge for additional guests, and a highchair if required. |
