East Galliford is one of a pair of traditional Exmoor cottages, built of stone with rendered elevations under a slate roof. It is situated off a quiet lane, 'The Steep' leading to the Church.
The cottage is south facing and in a sunny sheltered position above the main part of the village and only a minute's walk from the village green.
From the cottage and garden, there are wonderful views of the village with farmland and the wooded hillsides of the Exe Valley beyond.
Winsford itself boasts eight bridges over the two rivers that run through the middle of the village, the Exe and the Winn Brook.
