Within walking distance of Montacute House and Ham Hill Country park the property is well placed for visiting local historic National Trust houses and gardens.

There are various interesting craft centres, a short driving distance away.

Sherborne, with it's Abbey, old and new Castles.
Lovely Wells, with the smallest Cathedral City and Bishops Palace
Interesting Glastonbury with it's Abbey remains, Tor and colourful inhabitants and unique atmosphere.
