Ty Amandla is a perfect base for hiking, bird watching, cycling on the local lanes, horse riding on the superb high dunes of Merthyr Mawr at Ogmore Castle, playing golf, or simply having fun discovering fossils and rock-pools on the sandy beaches. Nearby is the St. Donats Arts Centre, as well the theatres and concert halls of Cardiff. There are a host of fine local pubs, with good food a stroll away.
