The cottage has a twin bedroom with onsuite bath/shower room and a large living room with kitchen/dining area at one end and a sitting area looking out onto a secluded paved courtyard at the other. There is access from the living room and bedroom onto the paved courtyard.
The cottage is all on one level with no steps. The bathroom has a luxury extra wide bath with thermostatic shower fitted. The cottage is equipped to a high standard with traditional oak plank doors and skirtings and good quality comfortable beds, sofa etc. The courtyard is equipped with table and chairs, tubs with planting and a barbeque.
We are situated just outside the proposed South Downs National Park on the edge of the village of Plumpton Green. Access to places of interest is particularly good, with ancient villages like Ditchling and Lindfield close by, the historic and highly individual town of Lewes about 7 miles away, many National Trust properties and gardens, such as
Wakehurst Place, Sheffield Park, Standen and Batemans within easy reach. The Bluebell Steam Railway is close by, Newhaven Fort 15 miles away, and Charleston Farmhouse, home of the Bloomsbury Group just the other side of Lewes. Glyndebourne is about 10 miles away, as is the South of England Showground. The line of South Downs makes an attractive backdrop.

The kitchen has a large window overlooking an area of lawn and trees to the field beyond, and it is a good spot for watching the many birds making use of the hanging feeders. The kitchen is fully equipped. with refrigerator with freezer compartment, ceramic hob, oven with grill, microwave and washing machine. A tumble dryer is available in a separate utility room accessed from outside, where damp coats, boots etc. can be left to dry if necessary.
Living Room
The living room faces south and opens out through french doors onto a paved courtyard. The room is comfortably furnished with a Laura Ashley sofa and leather reclining swivel chair. There is a circular dining table with chairs adjacent to the kitchen area. The room is fully carpeted and equipped with TV, Freeview and DVD player.
