The market town of Pickering lies under 2 mile away and offers a good selection of shops cafes and pubs and station for the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. The glorious wilderness of the North York Moors lie just north of the town with great walking and cycling. Flamingo Land with its zoo and many rides is only 6 miles away Eden Camp 8 miles and the coast is 18 miles.
