The Snug The Snug

The Snug self-catering is a unique, detached holiday cottage just a moment’s stroll from the beach, and ideally situated for exploring Dunoon, the Cowal peninsula and the beautiful countryside of Argyll. The property was completed in 2004 and comprises a bright, open-plan living space with fitted kitchen and sitting area on the upper floor, from which there are lovely sea views. On the ground floor there is a good-sized double bedroom and bathroom. Children are always welcome and there is a travel cot (plenty of room for this in the bedroom), stair gate and high-chair available. We are also happy to accept well behaved pets by prior arrangement. There is no smoking in The Snug. The Snug is located in Innellan, a small village just 4 miles south of Dunoon, on the Cowal peninsula. Dunoon has been a popular tourist area for over 100 years and is an ideal base for exploring the lochs and hills of Cowal, as well as the many lovely towns and villages of Argyll. Only an hour from Glasgow, yet a world away - The Snug is the perfect getaway, whether you’ve a fortnight or just a weekend to spare.

Kitchen

With all the mod-cons and extra touches you’d expect in a modern little hideaway, including: fridge, washing machine, electric cooker, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster and stereo. All crockery, cutlery, glasses, utensils, pots and pans, washing-up liquid/cloths and tea-towels are provided. There is also a fold-up pine dining table and chairs.

Living Room

Situated on the upper floor, the bright open-plan living area has exposed wooden floorboards and a ‘Paris balcony’ providing views of an ever-changing seascape. A relaxing space to unwind with a good book or an old-fashioned board game (you’ll find plenty of both on the bookshelves), or to simply curl up in front of the TV/DVD player with a glass of wine in hand. This room has a sofa bed.

Other Rooms

On the ground floor, just along the hall from the bedroom is the fully-tiled bathroom. Here you can enjoy a relaxing bath (especially welcome on one of our rare wet Scottish days!). There is also an over-bath shower, wash basin, heated towel rail and electric shaver point.
