Glebe View is a converted part of a coachhouse, the main building being bed and breakfast, situated in Kilmartin village, opposite the famous Kilmartin House Museum. The Kilmartin Glen is a historical site of amazing importance, full of standing stones, cairns and rock carvings. The Crinan Canal is a nearby, Ardfern and Croabh Haven marinas being 7 and 12 miles away. the area is a marvel for walking, cycling, bird watching and fishing. the scenery is outstanding not forgetting the Corryvreckan[third largest whirlpool in the world]. Oban is 29 miles to the north for trips to Mull, Iona and Staffa, or a return dinner sail to Colonsay. Campbeltown is just over an hours drive south with Gigha[god's Island] worth a visit from Tayinloan. There are many more places of interest around, and the festivals at Tarbert are always worth a visit. Castles and gardens for a day out abound, good local food is plentiful and the sun sets facing Glebe View.
