Oban Seil Croft Cottage

This cosy cottage has been fully renovated based on the original design, and therefore it retains its original layout and charm. The downstairs of the property consists of a living room, featuring an open fire, and a fully fitted kitchen and dining room. The cottage has an upstairs bathroom with overhead shower and two bedrooms. The property will sleep 4 and is thoughtfully and comfortably furnished with excellent facilities. All bed linen and towels are provided. The property has electric central heating throughout and features an open fire with solid fuel provided at no extra cost. For visitors with young children we have a cot and high chair that are available if required. The property is situated in its own garden and has private parking. The Isle of Seil has its own golf course, a challenging 9-hole course with several holes over water and wonderful views of the Atlantic Ocean. Other activities that are actively pursued in the local area include fishing, bird watching, hill walking and diving. Sailing is also very popular in the area and there is a popular yacht anchorage at Puilladobhran on the island’s west coast. For nights where cooking is not an option then there is a pub and a restaurant within 1-2 miles of the cottage. There is a local shop and Post Office at Balvicar, about a mile from ‘Croft Cottage’ with a wide range of supplies as well as a video/DVD hire outlet. The nearest town is Oban, about 14 miles away and around a 20 minute car journey.

Kitchen

The kitchen is located in the downstairs of the cottage with views overlooking the garden. It is a fully fitted kitchen complete with electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/ freezer. The cupboards and drawers are well stocked with all types of utensils and crockery that may be needed during your stay. The kitchen is also where you will find complementary teas, coffee and shortbread. The washer/ dryer is also located it the kitchen. The dining area is in a convenient location next to the kitchen, again with views of the garden and bird table. For visitors with young children, there is a high chair available at request.

Living Room

The living room is also located in the downstairs of the cottage and features and open fire with solid fuel provided at no extra cost. The living room is comfortable and cosy and is a great place to relax in front of the open fire. It has a colour TV, Video/DVD, CD/Tape player and Radio. In addition to this, there a small selection of board games, books and videos available for rainy days! For visitors with small children there is also a box of children’s toys.
