The Barn is situated on the edge of a small village three miles from Gt Missenden and within easy access of Amersham, Watford, Aylesbury and High Wycombe. London and Oxford are less than one hour away, as are Luton and Heathrow Airports. The local area is renowned for its traditional pubs and range of good restaurants. The Barn is fully equipped, all linen is supplied, also garden furniture and a barbecue. Rental cost includes central heating, electricity, water charges and garden maintenance. The property is available all year round. There are many National Trust properties within easy reach and places of general interest: the River Thames, The Grand Union Canal, The Ridgeway Path, the Roman Town of Verulamium at St Albans, Windsor Castle, Whipsnade Zoological Park, and many more. Kitchen

Fully fitted kitchen including all modern conveniences; electric cooker with ceramic hob, fridge, deep freezer, microwave oven, eclectic jug, toaster, iron and ironing board, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Good quality bone china, glass and cutlery is supplied as well as crockery and glassware suitable for outdoor use. The kitchen is adjacent to the open plan living area, so "Cook" can socialise and is not isolated in the "work place". All cleaning equipment and materials are supplied, however a cleaning service is available at an extra cost. There is ample cupboard storage space and a small pantry. The kitchen is light and airy and overlooks the farmyard.

Living Room

Large and heavily timbered with old beams and masses of character overlooking the garden through a massive window and door opening onto the patio area. A flag stone type floor, strewn with mats - cosy underflooring heating in the winter months. A large gallery overlooking the living area accommodates a spacious double bedroom which can be discreetly section-off if required. Furnishings are of the highest quality and comprise: a three piece suite (seats five), dining table & chairs, Welsh dresser, various antiques and a television (30 channels) with DVD player etc. The decor is of a colonial African theme comprising authentic curios & works of art and Victorian memorabilia.
