Gilfach Wen Barn is on a working farm adjacent to Brechfa Forest. Space is made available for families with children to play in a field adjacent to the barn. There is unlimited access within Brechfa Forest for walkers, cyclists and horse riders to roam in 50 square miles in peace and quiet. For those looking for more adventure there are mountain bike trials in the forest. Or why not go fly a kite on the local mountain. We are in the southern end of the Cambrain Mountains, but also within easy reach of the western end of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Its a short drive to the longest beach in Wales. I have a list of local activity providers if you would like to have an active break, or there are spaces on the farm ideal for curling up with a good book or meditating if you want to recharge your batteries.

Kitchen
Fully equipped, with two electric cookers, plenty of storage space and a wide range of pots and pans. There is a large barbeque and a fire pit for those who wish to make the most of being outdoors.
Living Room
Like all the building this room benefits from underfloor heating but there is also a large log fire in one corner for cosy chats. A football table, card table and chess table are all available for those who want to be more competative, with a fully laden book case a tv, dvd player and video player (with a selection of videos) for those who want to chill out at the end of a busy day. There are a range of settees and chairs, which guests can move around to suit themselves. The building is double glazed and there are no near neighbours to the farm, so if you want to move the furniture to one side and party through the night it isn't a problem.
