Old Oak Barn

The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and contains all you may need for your holiday or short break. The two bedrooms are simply furnished and are adjacent to the spacious main living room which measures 6 x 5 mt. Travel cot or camp bed can be used to sleep 5. We welcome those wanting a short break out of the main holiday season - minimum of 2 nights. This part of Carmarthenshire is popular for holidays in Wales and is easily accessible from the M4 being approximately 90 minutes from the Severn Bridge - on a good run! We are only a short drive from many well known and beautiful parts of West Wales which include the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and National Park. Folly Farm and Oakwood are only 30 minutes away. Tenby, Laugharne, Saundersfoot and Caldey Island also nearby. The barn is very near our 42 acre wood where badgers can often be seen. Informal gardens with small swings for children plus 2 more much bigger swings in the woods are very popular. Old Oak Barn has been lovingly renovated and includes wherever possible wood from our own managed woodlands. The alder floor is wearing very well and in winter the underfloor heating makes the barn warm and cosy whatever the weather. We have visitors from all over the world and many return again and again. The owners who live across the yard are happy to help all visitors plan their visit especially if they want to see the very best attractions in this lovely part of West Wales.

Kitchen

The kitchen is big and has a large table with room for 6. Plenty of storage space. Dishwasher, washing machine, ceraminc hob and electric oven, microwave and small fridge with a small freezer compartment. We ask our visitors to recycle all food scraps to our small flock of chicken and in return we provide fresh eggs free of charge. Wifi signal is excellent.

Living Room

The living room is huge - at over 20sq mt. A second large dining table with 5 chairs, two leather sofas, one giant bean bag which little ones love and a large sideboard for extra storage. Wifi signal is excellent. French doors open out onto the south facing patio which gets lots of sunshine.

Other Rooms

A travel cot is available and can be used in either bedroom.
