Swallow Cottage is a very attractive two storey barn conversion completed in 2003 to a very high standard. Perfectly situated in the peaceful pretty backwater just off the main street, its within easy walking distance of the many pubs, restaurants, shops plus Laugharne Castle on the estuary of the River Taf with amazing sea views and lovely walks. Dylan Thomas lived in The Boathouse and is said to have used Laugharne as inspiration for Under Milk Wood. Swallow Cottage is an ideal base for exploring the beautiful Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire countryside and coast with all the tourist attractions it has to offer and many spectacular beaches only a short car ride away. The property has everything you could possibly need for the perfect holiday with roomy accommodation for 4/6 non-smokers - we are also prepared to take well-behaved dogs free of charge. Inside you will find DVDs, Videos, Books and games to entertain you if the weather is inclement and a BBQ, Kite, Body-Board, Boule, Outdoor Games, picnic hamper and rug for your forays to the countryside or beach. With Pendine, Amroth, Tenby and Saundersfoot nearby plus attractions such as The National Garden of Wales, Oakwood Theme Park, Folly Farm, Caldey Island and St Davids to name but a few, there is really something for everyone. Laugharne is the perfect base for a family holiday or short break where you can just chill out and recharge your batteries and like so many of our visitors.

Kitchen

The kitchen is recently fitted and extremely well equipped with an electric cooker and hob, a fridge with ice box, washer/dryer, microwave, kettle, toaster, grill plus all the crockery, cutlery, glasses and cooking pans you could possibly need. We also leave all the cleaning stuff including washing powder for your use plus essentials like tea, coffee, sugar etc in the cupboards. The kitchen is large and includes a dining area with table and chairs at the front of the house and has ceramic tiled flooring for easy cleaning - this also extends into the hall. There is an ironing board and iron in the airing cupboard in the hall plus mop and bucket and brushes to leave property clean and tidy.

Living Room

A large comfortable room with barn window to the front, sash window to the side and back door into the patio sun-trap gardens. There is a three seater sofabed and a two seater sofa, coffee table, TV with digi-box, video, dvd, stereo system plus good selection of books, games, videos, cds and dvds. You will also find games, maps, folders containing local information and most importantly a Tide Timetable. There is also a Tide Clock in the hallway so that you can ensure you don't get caught out. You will also find rucksacks, a compass and binoculars to help you when you are out exploring. The property is heated by electric storage heaters and panel heaters plus we have free standing heaters.

Spacious ceramic tiled hallway with hanging for coats and airing cupboard plus carpeted stairs leading to landing. Please note other than hall and kitchen dining room, all other rooms are fully carpeted apart from bathroom which has vinyl flooring.
