Rooky's Nook is ideally located to visit all the main attractions in Cornwall, from the Eden Project (40 minutes by car) with all its horticultural/environmental wonders' and other fantastic gardens, to St Ives - with the Tate Gallery and other artistic heritage. Bodmin Moor (inland) with it's amazing archaeological history and rock Tors offers an interesting contrast to the panoramic coastline - where all the beaches on the North Cornish coast are tidal and some offer world class surfing - Newquay, Polzeath - and even Trebarwith Strand (local to Rooky's Nook). If historic house are your interest, Lanhydrock, Pencarrow and other National Trust 'treasures' are all easily reached from Rooky's Nook. Cornwall's mining history can also be seen throughout the county - with the china clay pits (St Austell) and many old engine houses (Redruth/Cambourne) reminding us of the past dominance of this important livelihood - now largely redundant. Delabole Quarry with its famous dark grey slate is also worth a visit - and virtually on the doorstep of Rooky's Nook!

Kitchen
A fully-equipped modern kitchen - with electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The stable door leads out onto the private sunny patio and large garden. Why not enjoy local fish from Port Isaac or a juicy steak from the local butcher freshly cooked on the barbeque, and then sit and enjoy a chilled drink - relaxing and unwinding after another enjoyable day doing as much - or as little as you fancy!
Living Room
A large inglenook fireplace dominates the living room - originally used by a blacksmith to shoe his horses before the barn was renovated, and now offering a real log fire for many guests to relax in front of. This cosy room is a welcome hideaway to return to after enjoying an invigorating walk along the dramatic coastal footpath. Other original features include rough cast walls, and slate floors.

Downstairs Utility room - includes a toilet and hand basin, washing machine and drier, plus the oil-fired boiler for the central heating and hot water.
