Relax in our 17th century barn conversion, a grade 11 listed building but now brought up to date with a tasteful conversion into 3 self catering cottages. Primrose Cottage is our largest cottage sleeping up to maximum number of 6 people in 3 bedrooms, a double and 2 twin rooms. There is a bathroom with bath, toilet and washbasin on the first floor and a bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin on the ground floor. There are lots of places to eat in the area if you do not wish to cook yourself ranging from bar meals to 3 course meals all prepared using locally produced food. Carsington Water is just 4 miles from our cottage and provides sailing, windsurfing and fishing lessons. Derbyshire is a county of outstanding beauty and many stately homes are nearby including Chatsworth, Kedleston Hall, Hardwich Hall, Haddon Hall, Sudbury Hall, where of late many of the period dramas have been filmed. The Tissington trail begins in Ashbourne. This is an old railway line which has been transformed to provide a wonderful route for cyclists and walkers to see the beauty of the Peak District. Cycles can be hired from the start of the trail.
