Furnished in smart contemporary style and direct access to the local trail for walking and traffic free cycling it occupies two acres of grounds crossed by a stream and surrounded by gorgeous countryside thickly threaded with footpaths leading to quaint villages with excellent tea rooms and welcoming inns. For a great choice of independent shops (lots of vintage shops) twice weekly market and an indoor swimming pool visitors should head to the picturesque little town of Ashbourne (5 miles) whilst a 4 mile drive reaches Carsington Lake (pictured) a delightful setting for water sports and fishing with a visitor centre and craft shops to explore. Chatsworth House Haddon Hall Kedleston and Sudbury Halls (both N.T.) Heights of Abraham cable cars Gulliver’s Kingdom Alton Towers and Splash Landings are among the wonderful array of attractions found within 15 miles. Pony trekking is available 1 mile away and a golf course is 4 miles. Tissington (2 miles) offers a selection of eating places. Shop and pub 1.25 miles.
