The Cider Press is approached through park-like grounds, with double oak doors set in an arched entrance. The enclosed courtyard has cobbled pathways and lawned gardens. In history, the scene was that of a bustling main farm for the Estate, one of the most picturesque in the South West. The Cider Press has been converted and renovated and has its own garden area with barbecues available. It is surrounded by 30 acres, offering plenty of space for children to play out, and there is also a play area provided with equipment to suit children of all ages. To one side of the courtyard, a sauna and hot tub offer the opportunity for the adults to spoil themselves and children to have fun. Nearby Eggesford Forest and The Tarka trail offer great walking and we welcome responsible dog owners. The nearby National Trust beach at Saunton Sands allows dogs all year round. We also have a stretch along the River Taw, renowned for its Salmon and Trout fishing.
