This historic 5 bedroom house dates back to the 12 Century in parts. It oozes charm and style, with every care taken to ensure guests experience the most relaxing holiday imaginable deep in the heart of North Devon just 2 miles from the sea. The whole house feels as if it has been designed to be enjoyed. The massive kitchen/diner is where everyone meets to plan the day ahead or feast at night. Step through the stable door to a flag-stoned, suntrap patio, perfect for relaxed mornings, lazy lunches and fabulous family dinners or BBQs after a day at the beach or exploring the many foot and cycle paths in this part of North Devon. The house is great for families with children of all ages with a separate a games-room with table-football and a PlayStation, while upstairs there is a children-only box-room with a huge toy collection. Orchard is set in two acres of grounds with lawns, woods and gardens that just have to be explored. Great for climbing, damming streams or climbing and playing games all day long. Upstairs reached by a main staircase or second twisting narrow staircase, there are 4 bedrooms, 2 double with en suites and 2 twins and a good-sized family bathroom with twin sinks. The 5th bedroom is within a separate, self-contained ground floor annexe - ideal for grand-parents.

Kitchen

The light and airy kitchen diner is equipped with every facility and utensil you'd need to create a cordon-bleu banquet for up to 12 guests seated around the massive pine dining table. For those preferring to do a little less cooking, there are two fridge freezers for storing pre-cooked meals. For the very young, there are special plastic plates, beakers and cutlery.

Living Room

The lounge contains large comfortable sofas gathered around a traditional inglenook where, in winter months, a large woodburner ensures a cosy evening for all. Next door is a second lounge which doubles as a games room with games such as table football and a Playstation, plus lots of traditional board games.
