‘The Arches’ holiday accommodation is situated just off the beautiful Taw Valley in the green rolling hills of central Devon. The luxury accommodation is a former barn and is believed to be built at a similar time to the main house, (Nethercott) and original farm buildings. ‘Nethercott’ falls on what was the Portsmouth Estate and was built by the Earl of Portsmouth in 1862. In 2010 the conversion of ‘The Arches’ began, the building itself was completed in Mid-2012 (although development to the grounds and gardens continues). Construction is of stone, oak and slate and the exterior retains its traditional character and appealing brick arches. The interior of the houses retains this style but also with the inclusion of modern materials, (stainless and glass) giving a ‘twist’ of new and old. The open plan, upside down, layout is exceptionally spacious providing 2 Super King + 1 King Bedroom, (+2 double Sofa Beds if required). The Master Bedroom has En-Suite and all rooms have 22" HDTV. On Site facilities include a commercial spec gym while the adjoining footpaths will take you to the local villages pubs and bars. A short walk leads you to Eggesford where the Tarka line takes you to either Devon Coast. The dwelling is a quiet retreat away from the hassle of the city and is conveniently situated for countryside activities. If you require a luxury stay then forget damp caravans or pokey wooden huts in packed campsites and stay at a location of true quality.

Kitchen
The Kitchen comprises all appliances to allow you to be completely self sufficient during your stay. This includes oven, hob, microwave, toaster, fridge freezer and all cooking utensils and crockery. Units have solid oak doors and authentic slate tops.
Living Room
The living room is exceptionally large, (the lounge diner being 45' long). In the centre is a solid oak, glass and stainless table providing seating for up to 18. The lounge has 2 leather corner sofa beds and a further 2 leather beanbag loungers. A 50" plasma TV is provided with a selection of Blu- Ray and DVD's which you may enjoy on the surround sound home cinema system. A selection of books and games is also provided for your entertainment.
Other Rooms
A Professionally equipped gym is on site for guests. This has a selection of commercial grade exercise machines and weights.
