A characterful 350 year old building, The Barn is light, welcoming and restful. Its thick Cotswold stone walls keep it cool in summer and toasty in the winter. Downstairs you will find the boot room, kitchen/diner, cloakroom, coat and luggage store, and sitting room. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms. The rear bedroom can be arranged as a superking or as a twin room. The front bedroom has a kingsize bed and the middle bedroom has a double bed. A cot is supplied and can be placed in either the front or rear bedroom. The bathroom has a separate large shower cubicle and full size bath. Hot water is on demand throughout the day. All bedding and towels are provided. Outside there is a patio with garden furniture to seat 8 and a lawned area. The Barn offers off street parking for up to 3 cars. Within a 5-10 minute walk there is a playground, sports field, pub, butcher, Co-op, newsagent, post office, hairdresser and beauty salon. The nearest town is Stroud and is famed for its farmers market, well worth a visit on a Saturday morning. The oldest inhabited castle in the UK is close by, Berkeley Castle, lived in by the same family for 900 years and where Edward II was murdered. Spooky Woodchester Mansion - a superb unfinished gothic revival mansion house surrounded by beautiful national trust parkland. The commons are great for walking, and hang gliding!

Kitchen

The kitchen seats 6 for dinner and a highchair is provided. The full size cooker has a gas hob and electric oven. There is a fridge, microwave, dishwasher and freezer. Washing machine and tumble dryer can be found in the next door boot room. The kitchen also houses the combi boiler giving hot water on demand and gas central heating.

Living Room

With 5 windows, the sitting room has lovely views over the surrounding countryside. There are sofas to seat 7, a working real fireplace, writing desk, widescreen TV, DVD player, digital DAB radio/cd player, games, book, DVD’s and lots of info on local sights, activities and restaurants.
