Wake up to the sound of the sea! Take breakfast on the patio - Talarfor is an ideal holiday home, the views are unbeatable and it is comfortable and clean. It is positioned very close to the beach and is approached via a steep lane, views are undisturbed and there is no traffic noise. Personal supervision ensures high standards. You have the advantage of parking outside your door and many guests leave the car parked for the week. It is only a 1 mile walk along the promenade into the busy seaside town of Barmouth. Barmouth is a registered Blue Flag beach, a holiday town where the mountains come down to the sea, there are donkeys on the beach and a working harbour as well as the lifeboat station and historic buildings to explore. Restaurants pubs and cafes cater for a range of tastes and pockets, shops are small and individual rather than mass market. Walkers are well catered for in this area as are those who enjoy water sports or fishing. The national white water rafting and canoeing centre at Bala is only a short drive away, so too is the national mountain bike centre at Coed-y-Brenin. The area is well known for narrow gauge railways and slate mines but there are also working farms and lots of sheep! Dolgellau is 10 miles away, a traditional Welsh market town dating back to the 12th century, rich in history and culture. Whilst Harlech castle and Portmeirion, the Italianate village of 'The Prisoner' fame is situated to the North.

Kitchen

The kitchen diner is a large room with all the electrical appliances you would expect to find in the average home: electric cooker, microwave, fridge freezer and washing machine. The dining table seats 5 comfortably and there is a high chair for younger children. Ceiling beams and spot lights give a country feel to the room.

Living Room

A bright modern room dominated by patio windows with extensive views of the garden and beach. Open the doors to extend the room into the garden, sit on the patio furniture and enjoy the sunshine. 2 settees and a single chair are accompanied by a foot-stall, thus providing comfortable seating for 5 adults. A bookcase with a selection of books is available for those who prefer not to watch the colour television or videos, or listen to the CD player. (For families who don't agree on TV choices there is a second, portable TV DVD player in the main bedroom).
