Nearby attractions include Symond’s Yat for canoeing and boat trips on the River Wye a Butterfly Zoo and RSPB sanctuary (1 mile) the Offa’s Dyke long distance footpath and the Clearwell Caves sculpture trails and wildlife reserves in the Royal Forest of Dean. The attractive town of Ross-on-Wye impressive castles at Raglan Goodrich and Chepstow and evocative Tintern Abbey are all in very easy reach as is Hereford (12 miles) with its great shopping and magnificent cathedral. Visitors can enjoy wonderful walking in the hills and beautiful Wye Valley and the area is renowned for its excellent fishing as well as exceptional Ryder Cup golf courses.
