Set in beautiful Glen Duror in the heart of the highlands, and less than 1000 metres from the beach at Cuil Bay, Lorien is an idyllic three bedroom detached cottage with stunning mountain views, forest walks and rivers right on its doorstep. It is the perfect location to explore the Scottish Highlands or to take part in outdoor activities such as ski-ing, climbing and watersports. The three bedroom cottage stands on the very edge of the village. Bright and spacious, it has been fully modernised to provide a contemporary, stylish and relaxing living space. There is attractive modern wooden flooring throughout. The house has full electric central heating and is double glazed. There is also a real fireplace in the living room. The house has a beautiful, large leafy enclosed garden and there is on site parking for up to four cars. Glencoe, with its facilities for walking, climbing, and skiing is just seven miles away, while the town of Fort William, Britain’s highest mountain ‘Ben Nevis’ and the Nevis Ski Centre are just 16 miles to the north. The seaside town of Oban with all its facilities (including boat trips to the Scottish Islands) is just 20 miles to the south. Duror village is the birthplace of Scottish hero ‘James of the Glen’ who Robert Louis Stephenson immortalise immortalised in his famous novel ‘Kidnapped’. The short walk to his birthplace is signed from the cottage. The village also has a shop/post office and hotel restaurant/bar within walking distance.

Kitchen

The kitchen is bright, spacious and modern and looks out on to the woodland in front of the house. It has an electric cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, and is fully equipped. There is a large dining table with seating for six and it is an ideal place to dine in the morning or the evening. However if the weather is warm, there is also a gazebo and garden furniture for dining outdoors.

Living Room

The living room is spacious and bright with French windows leading to the garden. It has a real fireplace as well as central heating. There is a television with full sky reception, DVD player and CD player. As well as a contemporary suite with seating for six, there is an additional dining table within the living room. The house has attractive modern wooden flooring throughout.
