Caisteal Liath is ideally located on the north-west coast of Sutherland for exploring near and far. It offers an all-year round holiday destination, providing a variety of activities to suite all tastes. From walking to climbing, fishing to sea-angling, bird-watching to playing golf, there is something for everyone to see and do. We have numerous golden, sandy beaches in the area, our closest one being at Achmelvich, only a 5 - 7 minute drive by car. Caisteal Liath cottage is located in the quiet & crofting community of Baddidarrach, on the northern side of Lochinver Bay, with magnificent sea-loch and mountain views. South facing, the patio at the front of the cottage is an ideal area to sit out at and relax taking in the Highland air and watching the fishing fleet returning to harbour with their catch. This property has stunning views and is very comfortably furnished and equipped and is an ideal 'home from home'. A twenty minute walk from the cottage takes you into the village of Lochinver for all local amenities: butcher, pub and restaurants, small supermarket, petrol station, post office, newsagent, gift shop, hardware store and leisure centre.

Kitchen
The kitchen has panoramic views across the bay and is fully fitted with oak units and a low level breakfast bar table to dine at. It has an electric double oven and grill, four ring ceramic hob, full size dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and coffee maker, ample pans, crockery, cutlery and utensils and all cleaning materials are provided.
Living Room
The separate lounge has a large picture window providing stunning views towards the harbour and the mountains of Canisp, Suilven, Cul Mhor and Stac Pollaidh. It is complemented with a reclining leather sofa & chairs a widescreen colour TV, video recorder and hi-fi. It has laminate flooring a large rug in front of the fire.
