Hamilton Cottage is a detached sandstone cottage ideal for couples looking for a rural hideaway. Built in 1823, it has traditional charm combined with up to date style and convenience. Set on one level, Hamilton Cottage comprises a double bedroom, shower room and an open plan living area where there is a modern, discrete kitchen. There is a controllable central heating and hot water system with an open fire for those chilly evenings and cosy winter nights. Outside there is a gravelled parking/seating area. Adjoining this is a good sized grassed area sheltered by trees where there are a table and chairs for two to relax a BBQ is also available. Hamilton Cottage's location in Arabella Holdings means that it is very quiet (apart from the sound of happy hens and their Rooster) with no traffic on the single track roads around it, other than the very few residents of the holdings - this does include a working farm - so there may be an occasional tractor! High quality bed linen and towels are supplied and you will be greeted with a welcome pack consisting of everything you will need to make yourself at home right away including a fresh loaf of our traditionally slow-fermented, organic home made bread and half a dozen eggs from our own free range, organically kept hens or ducks (depending on your preference!). Change over day is Saturday. Guests can fly to Inverness from various airports in the UK, where a car can be hired. Pick up from local train stations can be arranged.

Modern, stylish and convenient, the kitchen is tucked away in the main living area of the cottage. A large fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and 4 ring electric cooker are available along with a comprehensive stock of quality pots, pans, crockery & utensils you will find everything that you would expect to find at home and more...
Living Room
Small but perfectly formed the living area is cosy in winter, modern but comfortable for the summer. It is furnished with a squishy leather sofa which can convert into a double sofa-bed. There's a table and chairs seating 4 people. An LCD TV with integrated Freeview and a DVD player with a selection of DVDs is available for those relaxing evenings in. A selection of books is available along with board games. (If the weather's really bad come next door and ask for a wider selection of books from our extensive library!) The cottage is centrally heated via radiators but when the weather turns chilly there's an open fire for extra warmth.
