The Gables Retreat is a stunning, former farmhouse, tucked away down a No-Through-Road", yet within easy reach of good major road, motorway and rail networks. There are plenty of amenities on site, including a hard tennis court, a 7 seat hot tub, a climbing frame and toy barn, but if you prefer to get out and about, just check out our website for a huge variety of things to do on our doorstep. The house has recently been completely refurbished and combines the luxury of a hotel with the freedom and flexibility of self-catering accommodation. There are many luxurious touches including high quality fixtures and fittings, Egyptian cotton bedding, robes, slippers and toiletries, as well as a welcome pack on arrival. The house accommodates 11 in 5 bedrooms, 4 of them large enough to accommodate an extra cot/ z-bed. 1 bedroom is located on the ground floor for less mobile guests. Our accommodation is very flexible as 4 of the bedrooms can be arranged as twins or super-kings. There are 4 beautifully appointed bathrooms, 3 of them en-suite. On the ground floor, there is a large open plan kitchen/dining room,a TV/playroom with 40"plasma, DVD player, Hi Fi, Wii console, toys, books etc, and a separate sitting room. Outside, there is a patio with outdoor furniture for 11, a gas BBQ and hot tub. There is ample parking space for 10 vehicles adjacent to the house and we have WiFi. There are lots of local attractions, pubs and restaurants, including Market Rasen Racecourse.

Kitchen

The kitchen in brand new and open plan, with excellent facilities for catering and dining for up to 12 guests. There is a range-style cooker, a dishwasher and 2 fridges (plus a freezer in the utility). Work tops are black granite, and a breakfast bar with 3 bar stools separates the cooking area from the dining area - a great spot for a pre dinner drink! The style is a harmonious blend of contemporary and traditional, and our 5 star rating shows that it is immaculately clean. There is plenty of spare storage space in cupboards for items you may wish to bring along with you. Doors lead directly off the dining area to the patio area, with its rattan table and chairs and BBQ.

Living Room

There are 2 living areas - The TV/Playroom is next to the kitchen, and has a comfortable corner sofa for those wishing to watch the 40" plasma TV, a DVD, play on the Wii console, listen to some music on the Hi Fi or play with the games or toys. This room also has a solid fuel wood burner. The sitting room also has a large corner sofa and an armchair, and is designed as a quiet relaxation/reading room, though the use of each room is completely flexible. This room has an open fire and is large enough to accommodate the whole group. Logs and safety guards are provided for both fires. Both rooms are light and airy, with large windows and stripped floors with rugs.

Other Rooms

There is a spacious utility room with washer/tumble dryer and a freezer and separate sink. There is also a "garden loo" in the porch, which if very handy for children playing outside and hot tub users.
