A perfect holiday location for exploring the historic Scottish Borders and picturesque Northumberland with their superb beaches dramatic castles and stunning scenery. The fishing port of Eyemouth with its colourful harbour where the resident wild grey seals may be fed quaint St Abbs village with great coastal paths and the grand country house and garden of Paxton are all under 10 miles. A little further afield visit Coldstream take a walk in the Cheviot Hills or explore Holy Island and Bamburgh: all are within 30 miles. Berwick-upon-Tweed with its good selections of shops cafes and restaurants is only 6 miles. Shops and pub serving food 3.5 miles.
