Awel y Bryn was remodelled during 2006/7 in a contemporary Welsh style and offers the highest standard of self catering accommodation. The house reflects the character of traditional Welsh interiors with slate flagged or oak floors, fabric with strong geometric patterns and locally made furniture. The walls are decorated with pictures and works of art by artists living and working in Wales. There are three double bedrooms all en-suite, (1 with bathroom and 2 with shower room) one with two additional guest beds. Bed linen, towels and bath robes are supplied. Outside there is enclosed off road parking for three cars, a timber decked terrace, a barbecue area and a secure shed for the storage of bicycles, water sports equipment etc. Outdoor furniture and crockery are provided. A travel cot, stairgates and highchairs are available on request. Mathry is a living bilingual community offering local facilities including a tea room, general stores and post office, wood turners, a diving school and a traditionally family run pub. Mathry is on the coastal bus route that serves the coast path between St Davids and Fishguard. The historic city of St Davids is 10 miles away.
