The Lookout is recently converted and fitted out for year round comfort. It is well placed on the edge of the Shotley Peninsular to visit and explore the many local places of interest, including Constable Country, Munning's House in Dedham, Gainsborough House in Sudbury, and a little further afield Lavenham and Long Melford. There are exceptional local farm shops and plant nurseries, and Jimmy's Farm is in the next village! The area is also renown for walking, bird watching, bicycling and watersports. Alton Water reservoir (5 miles long) is within 1/2 a mile, and the Rivers Orwell and Stour form the Shotley Peninsular. The Lookout is on two floors with downstairs an entrance hall, a twin bedroom, and a shower/wetroom with WC and basin. Stairs lead up to a compact but attractive open plan living area with a well fitted out galley kitchen with oven, hob, microwave and fridge. Dining table and chairs comfortably seat 4 and there are two easy chairs and a sofa. French windows open onto a small balcony with views over acres of open country. The sunsets from here are often amazing! The living area has television/DVD, radio/cd player. To the right at the top of the stairs is another nice twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom including WC and basin. Outside The Lookout there is a garden area, grassed and planted with shrubs, a picnic table/seats and additional plastic chairs which can be used outside. A barbecue is available. There is a designated parking area.
